Pope Benedict XVI.In his message, contained in a Papal scroll sent to the Governor and made available to newsmen yesterday in Uyo, the Pope imparted, "Apostolic blessings on Akpabio, and invoked abundant divine graces on the governor on the occasion of his 50th birthday."
Meanwhile, Catholics and other Christians in the state have expressed appreciation to the Pope for extending his blessings to the Governor, who they believed deserved the Papal blessings for his continued support to the Church and deep compassion for humanity.
