  A white man who disguises as a black man to rob in Ohio has been arrested by the Police. Conrad Zdzierak, 30, wears a black mask which makes him look like someone else before carrying out the task. A black man in the State was wrongfully accused and arrested for one of the six robberies carried out by Conrad. Zdzierak's masked resemblance to the black man was so similar that some witnesses even identified a photo of the black man as the one who robbed them.

Nigerian man who stabbed his wife while she slept jailed for 12 years

A Nigerian businessman has been jailed for 12 years after he was found guilty of stabbing his wife as she slept in their home. Oluwabusayo Abegunde, 38, (pictured above) stabbed his wife repeatedly with a kitchen knife after he went through her phone and discovered she was seeing someone else.

Federal government increases passport fee by 50%

The Federal Government has increased passport fee by 50%. According to a circular signed by the Deputy Comptroller in charge of Operations/Passport and released a few days ago titled 'Passport Reforms', applicants will now pay N15,000 instead of N10,000Applicants for change of data will pay now N30,000.

Gunmen kidnap President Jonathan's cousin in Bayelsa

President Jonathan's cousin, Chief Inengite Nitabai was abducted yesterday Sunday February 23rd in the Otuoke community in Bayelsa State by unknown gunmen.
Nitabai, who is said to be the compound chief of Jonathan’s family, was abducted by 10 suspected kidnappers about 9pm yesterday. Six of the assailants reportedly forced their way into the house, while the remaining four stayed outside, monitoring activities. They robbed the home and left with chief Nitabia in his Sports Utility Vehicle.

CNN cancelling Piers Morgan Tonight after a crash in ratings

After three years of running Piers Morgan Live, CNN has confirmed plans to cancel the prime time show due to poor ratings. According to the New York Times, the host of the show Piers Morgan, who stepped up as the replacement for Larry King (who ran for 25 years), said last week that he and CNN president Jeff Zucker had discussed the show's failure to connect to the network's audience and had decided to cancel it. The last shows will be aired in March.

Ugandan president signs anti-gay bill

President Yoweri Museveni, today succumbed to pressure from within his country and signed the anti-gay bill into law.
He signed the bill at his official residence at Entebbe, near the capital Kampala, in front of govt officials, journalists and a team of Ugandan scientists who found no genetic basis for homosexuality, one of the reasons why he finally consented to signing the bill.
The anti-gay law criminalizes all acts of homosexually in Uganda and calls for first-time homosexual offenders to face a 14 years jail penalty. Continuous Sexual engagement by two homosexuals which involves a minor, disabled person or anyone with HIV AIDS attracts a life sentence.
