Boko Haram Leader Apprehended in Former Rep’s House

Security agents have scored a major breakthrough in their fight against the notorious Boko Haram terrorist group with the arrest of one of the suspected leaders of the group, Hassan Pagi Bukar in the residence of a former House of Representatives member who served between 2003 and 2007.

The suspect was arrested alongside the security guard of the former lawmaker, whose names have been withheld by the security agents.
Although the former legislator was said to have been briefly arrested and interrogated, he has reported daily at the security agency that effected the arrest.
The arrest was made in the Gwarimpa area of the Federal Capital Territory, Abuja.
It has also been gathered that the arrest and interrogation of Bukar has led to useful information being obtained from the suspect.
For instance, the suspect reportedly revealed that his duty as a member of the terrorist group included “robbing members of the public of their cars.” The cars were then used for suicide bombing.
One of the very indicting statements of Bukar was that he implicated the former Reps member by disclosing that he also buys some of the cars from him (Bukar) when they have been stolen, said a source in the security agency.
Meanwhile, the security guard in the residence of the former House of Reps member (described as a mere gateman) is said to have been employed from Sokoto
