Gunman murders 8year old girl

A BRITISH schoolgirl shot dead in an execution-style killing in Jamaica was hit in the head with the masked assassin’s first bullet.
Imani Green, eight, was then hit in the shoulder by a second shot as she was deliberately targeted in the revenge attack.
The hoodie-wearing gunman went on to blast three adult members of her family with the 9mm pistol. Imani, of Balham, South London, was fatally injured. Her relatives — two women and a man — were wounded.One of the victims was a female family member who runs the grocery store in the quiet town of Duncans in Trelawney on Jamaica’s west coast.

They were the only people in the tiny shack-like shop. Police believe the attack was gang-related revenge against a friend of the shopkeeper.

A source said: “The killer shot the little girl in the head with his first bullet. The second bullet hit her in the shoulder. He then turned the gun on to the other three — two women and a man all related to Imani.”

Imani’s mum Donna was at a relative’s home nearby when her daughter was shot on Friday at around 8.30pm.

She was said to be inconsolable last night.

The little girl’s father Richard, at home in Balham, collapsed when he was told of the murder.

Imani’s gran Sandra Fisher, who called decorator Richard with the news, said: “He had to go to hospital. He’s in a bad way. Imani was his life.”

The tragic schoolgirl, who suffered from blood disease sickle cell anaemia, was visiting relatives with her mum and 19-year-old sister Jamila.

They flew out before Christmas and were due to return this month.

Jamila and gran Sandra raced to the scene after hearing shots and found Imani in a pool of blood.

Incredibly she was still breathing — but died on the way to hospital.

Jamila said: “I picked her up and flagged down a taxi. We took her to hospital to try to save her life but it was too late.”

Sandra, 54, added: “We found her in a pool of blood. It was horrible.”
