Special Adviser, Media and Publicity, Femi Adesina, has blasted the national publicity secretary of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) after its 30-day appraisal of President Muhammadu Buhari’s administration as leader of Nigeria, noting that, the PDP has “a long road of regrets to travel”.

Buhari reportedly cuts number of aides, journalists for foreign, local trips
President Buhari has reportedly reduced the number of journalists and aides that will accompany him on his foreign and local trips. President Buhari's directive was contained in a statement sent from his office to the relevant agencies. Under the new arrangement, two journalists, as against 4, will travel officially with the president.

Unknown gunmen assassinate Egba chief, leave note on motive of killing
According to The Nation, the 75 year old Chief, who was until his death, the Oluwo of Ikanna, was sleeping alone in the house when he heard his window break. He woke up to check it out and that was when he was shot dead.
"My father was sleeping in his bedroom. The bed is close to the window. As the glass was broken, he woke up to see what happened. He took his torch to see who was there. That was how he was shot. The first gunshot was in his hand which was seriously damaged. Maybe when he was still struggling, they shot him again. I guess they shot him three times.” he said.

Former Minister Femi Fani Kayode and his girlfriend, Precious Chikwendu spotted at the Federal High court in Lagos today for another hearing on a case filed against him by EFCC.Justice Rita Ofili Ajumogobia of the Federal High Court sitting in Lagos State, has deferred judgment in the case of a former Minister of Aviation, Mr. Femi Fani-Kayode, till July 1, 2015.
She told the court on Thursday that she could not deliver judgment in the case, as earlier scheduled, owing to the absence of the lead prosecution counsel, Mr. Festus Keyamo, in court. "It is proper for the entire parties to be around for the judgment, I feel this is the right thing to do... it is better to have everyone present for the judgment”, she said.

Former Imo state governor, Ikedi Ohakim arrested by EFCC
The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, has reportedly arrested former Imo state governor, Ikedi Ohakim. He was arrested by EFCC officials at his Asokoro home Abuja this morning at about 10.05am, according to a report by Premium Times. A 26-year-old frustrated mother, Funmilayo Tijani has been arrested by the Ogun state police command for allegedly stabbing her two-year-old son, Emmanuel, to death at her residence on Ogunso Street, Orelope Estate, in the Egan, Sango Ota area of the state on May 27th.

National Assembly members to get N8.64bn as wardrobe allowance next week
The newly inaugurated members of the National Assembly are to receive N8.64 billion as Wardrobe allowance next week. According to ThisDay, N8.64 billion wardrobe allowance translates to N17.5 million for each of the 360 members of the House of Representatives and N21.5 million for each of the 109 senators. This is asides the other allowances they are entitled to which includes furniture, housing and vehicle.
