Presidency confirms death, but state govt says Gov Danbaba Suntai not dead

The governor of Taraba state, Dambaba Suntai, 51, is lying unconscious, some report say he is dead, after the small plane he was piloting crashed at the Yola airport in Adamawa state. Two other passengers in the plane were said to have survived. The governor was 51 years old.
The Special Assistant to the President on Social Media, Reno Omokri, has just tweeted, confirming the governor’s death.

Update: Taraba State Government say Governor Danbaba was on the private plane that crashed in Yola but is not dead. More updates later...
UPDATE 2: Special Assistant to the President on New Media, Reno Omokri, has deleted the tweet with which he confirmed the death of Governor Danbaba Suntai.
He had tweeted, “May the soul of the late departed Governor, Danbaba Suntai, of Taraba State rest in peace and may God grant the state peace this trying time,” he said.
But when we checked his twitter handle at 9.25 p.m., the tweet was no longer there.

 The secretary to the Taraba State government has said that Governor Dambaba Suntai of Taraba State was one of the survivors of an air crash at the Yola Airport in Adamawa State. Our earlier report  named the governor as one of the dead passengers in the small plane that was being piloted by Mr. Suntai at the time of the crash.
The secretary to the government of Taraba State confirmed that the governor survived the crash, but was in critical condition. The Secretary stated that the injured governor had been conveyed to a hospital in Yola.
Two of Mr. Suntai’s aides died when the plane crashed, An eyewitness said there were five passengers in the small plane at the time of the accident. Mr. Suntai was piloting.
Eyewitnesses at the scene had earlier told ME that two persons survived the plane crash.
