I am 32 and my boyfriend is 34. We have been so happy together for three years and talking about getting married.
He had been texting my sister, who’s 29, but was always so open and jokey about it, I thought they were maybe planning a surprise for me or something.
He’s a paramedic and for several weeks he would leave for work earlier than usual saying he was doing an extra shift. One night I was looking for something in the cupboard and found his uniform pushed behind other coats. It was obvious he’d tried to hide it.
I rang my sister as I was upset. When she didn’t answer or reply to my text I drove to her flat to wait for her. I know her key code to let myself in.
I could see a light under the kitchen door – and there they were. When my boyfriend saw me, he just said, “Oh my God, I am so sorry, I love you”. I just ran to the bathroom and threw up. When I came out my sister was crying and he just kept saying he was sorry.
It’s been a week and I’m still furious, but I do love them both. He wants me to forgive him and she says it meant nothing. Should i forgive them?
